The Willows- Enhanced Provision
The Willows: Enhanced Provision at New Marston
At New Marston, we are committed to inclusivity, supporting children from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and needs. To further this mission, we have established "The Willows," an enhanced provision designed for children with the most complex needs.
About The Willows
The Willows caters to children aged 5 to 8, providing a specialised curriculum led by a qualified teacher and supported by experienced staff. This provision helps children who are not yet placed in specialist settings access the national curriculum and develop essential personal and social skills. Since opening in September 2024, The Willows has helped students achieve significant milestones in communication, attention, and learning.
Unique Features and Methodologies
Individualised Targets: Each child receives a personalised education plan tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
Multisensory Learning Environment: The provision is equipped with resources to support sensory integration and interactive learning.
Family and Community Involvement: We work closely with families and local community services to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
Program Structure
The Willows operates from Monday to Thursday, with children returning to their home schools on Fridays. This schedule ensures that students maintain connections with their established communities of peers and adults.
Benefits and Outcomes
Enhanced Communication Skills: Focused interventions to improve verbal and pre-verbal communication.
Improved Social Interaction: Activities designed to foster social skills and peer relationships.
Increased Academic Engagement: Tailored teaching methods that promote active participation and learning.
